Dear Sir or Madam,
Regulatory requirements for brass alloys containing lead are becoming increasingly stringent. In light of this, we are also gradually transitioning our mechanical and electronic water meters to lead-reduced materials.
As part of this transition, the new versions will be listed under new part numbers. As soon as a meter type is available exclusively in the new material version, we will, of course, inform you of this in a timely manner via the order confirmation.
Transition Period
During the transition period, depending on the part, version, and current inventory levels, you may receive meters made from different materials. We ask for your understanding in this matter.
Please also note that existing inventory of the previous meters must be installed by December 31, 2027, at the latest. After this date, it will no longer be possible to return or re-calibrate these products. We therefore recommend that you take this into account in your inventory and demand planning.
Impact on Procurement Costs
The new materials entail higher procurement and processing costs. We will inform you separately in due course about any resulting price adjustments.
We thank you for your understanding and support during the transition phase. If you have any questions about the transition or specific items, please do not hesitate to contact us.
