For single-family houses and apartment buildings both impeller meters and piston meters with conformity assessment are admitted. Both types have to be verified, the validity of the verification lasts 6 years. This period can be extended acc. to measurement and verification regulation by using sampling procedures for another 3 years.

All plastic parts which are in contact with drinking water do have a testing certificate acc. to the “Leitlinie zur hygienischen Beurteilung von organischen Materialien im Kontakt mit Trinkwasser” (KTW-guideline) and acc. to the DVGW regulation sheet (W270), which confirm the suitability of the materials from microbiological point of view.
